It's uploading right now. EDIT Upload complete.

I couldn't resist doing a couple of AI fixes for corner cases. The basic behavior is not substantially changed but AI should get a little less distracted by missiles/small projectiles while rushing if it can clearly shoot them down or absorb with shields.

I recommend using the "import" command instead of sopen for exported / downloaded ships. It takes a filename instead of a ship name so something like ~/Desktop/Reassembly_author_shipname_blahblah.lua. It supports tab completion so you can say ~/Desktop/Re <TAB> and get a list of ships. Just type the next few characters and <TAB> again and it will complete. You can also import blueprints.lua files (e.g. import data/save2/blueprints.lua) or whole directories of ships at a time (e.g. import ~/Desktop/my_ships/)

sopen will still work of course - the file format is still the same. sopen looks in data/ships and then in data/extra_ships.

If possible I'd like to avoid having to manually go through submitted ships but if there are a few accidental uploads I can fix it.

I tried uploading it to the contest page, but it said the file was too large.

I think my Carapace fighting the trollfaces had the highest points ever in any match so far. It was up to over 36k points at the end I think. Imagine what might have happened if it was submitted to the proton category though...

Anyways, for anyone who missed the stream, I updated the wiki page: http://reassembly.wikia.com/wiki/Tournaments. It should have all the winners from this tournament (still missing Amazigh's winning proton category ship since I forgot its name) and I also added all the runner ups from the first tournament. The runner ups from the second tournament are incomplete since I forgot most of those too.

Of course, you could also watch the 2 and a half hours of video after they are uploaded to youtube.

I may have been worn out with whatever was inside me. Distracted with the past...

I think the Urchin would have had a pretty good shot at the Proton category, the winning ships were using swords and if you had enough thrusters you could have avoided them. My ships lost because they refused to remain steady.

Edit: Also, thanks for the hint on using flak cannons, my winning probe (Blizzard) used nothing but flak cannons. It was amazing.

Of all the things happened back in 2012 I was the most affected. When I suffered enough with all of that I have now uprised against the past.

Heh, I knew they'd be effective on anything that lacked shields; the only problem is their range and damage when facing shields.
