Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum, but I've been playing Reassembly for about year or so. Thought I would share a couple of the fleets which I have designed recently. Neither of them are exactly high-performance tournament-winning fleets, but they work well enough and I think at least one of them looks neat.

Farmer Federation (Farmer Faction):

The Farmer Federation was formed only a short while ago, in order to ward off the ceaseless raiding and attacks by other factions on their vulnerable resource bases. However, soon after they united, they realized that none of their ships were really any good against those of the other factions. They quickly began a series of ship design and construction, forming the Federal Navy into a deadly defense force. Their ships are usually very slow, but well armed and armored, reflecting the defensive nature of their Federation.

(This fleet was basically a test of how good using large amounts of Unobtanium Struts as armor worked. The answer: They work excellent against weapons with no or very small blast radius, but fail spectacularly against anything with it. I do really enjoy designing Farmer ships and trying to overcome their inherent fragility, and I definitely had a lot of fun building this one.)

The Jalopy-class Battleship is the Federation's newest and largest capital ship design. It is heavily armored, and has a large battery of long-ranged cannons and railguns. It lacks the Bolshevik launchers commonly used on older ships, but otherwise has performed very well so far. (8000P)

The Nexus-class Battleship was an experimental ship, designed to have very heavy firepower compared to other Federation capital ships. It carries a large array of 10 Bolshevik cannons, along some railguns and assorted secondary weapons. The cost of putting so many launchers on it was relatively thin armor along with a complete lack of shields, and it has been relegated to a hit-and-run vessel against otherwise impenetrable targets. (8000P)

The Mammoth-class Dreadnought is the Federation's oldest capital ship. Although very heavily armored and durable, it did not have the heavy weaponry necessary to quickly eliminate another capital ship. It was later renovated with 4 Bolshevik launchers, but is still lightly armed compared to newer vessels. It is usually used as an escort ship, as its many autocannons and PD lasers make quick work of enemy fighters and missiles. (8000P)

The Whale-class Factory Ship was designed when Federation tacticians realized that their ships lacked the speed to rapidly reinforce major offensives. The Whale is a very large ship primarily filled with a resource-generating farm. The ship is also capable of taking on most smaller ships on its own, making it an excellent support ship to follow major strike fleets. (8000P)

The so-called "Death Cube" was a rarely produced experimental ship, designed to be fast, maneuverable, and hard-hitting. While managing to keep its mass low, the designers managed to fit 4 shields, 8 Bolshevik cannons, 12 light missile launchers, and numerous autocannons and PD lasers into a ship a fraction the size of most capital ships. It worked very well as a combat vessel, but most Federation admirals didn't really know how to fit it into their overall strategy, leading to be underused compared to its potential usefulness. (5200P)

The Cooper-class Cruiser is essentially a smaller version of the Mammoth. However, the design worked much better on this scale, with the Cooper forming a formidable mid-size ship for the standard Federal fleet. (4500P)

The Claw-class Destroyer is something of an embarrassment among Federation captains. It was one of the first ships designed for the Federal Navy, and it retains a number of design flaws. It is extremely slow compared to its foreign counterparts, and its weaponry is ineffective against most other ships, lacking the punch to destroy larger ships and the accuracy to hit smaller ones. It is still useful in large numbers, but on a cost-for-cost basis, fails to live up to its expectations. No new design has yet been made to fill the gap between cruiser and fightercraft. (2000P)
[Reveal] Spoiler: Claw

The Panic-class Heavy Fighter was also an early design, but one which retains some use today. It is decent at fighter versus fighter combat, and its regenerating shield makes it useful for drawing the enemy's attention from Federation capital ships. (300P)

Imperial Expeditionary Force (Terran Faction):

The Emperor has commanded that his power be known throughout the galaxy, and the Imperial Expeditionary Force is the manifestation of that command. They arrived in this sector of the galaxy with a large fleet, but soon found that it was insufficient for overcoming the established industrial bases of the native inhabitants. They began building manufacturing facilities and are now occupying themselves with daring raids against their enemies while they wait for their war machine to be complete.

(This faction was inspired by the circular designs of The Empire in the game Gratuitous Space Battles. Their ships are typically underarmored but pretty fast and maneuverable, especially compared to the Farmer fleet I just made.)

The Imperator-class Battleship is currently the most powerful ship in the IEF's fleet. It is highly maneuverable for a large capital ship, and its heavy shield can take several nukes before collapsing. Commanding one of these vessels is a highly sought after duty, as there is considerable fame and glory in leading it in a raid deep into enemy territory. It has large resource reserves, and is capable of constructing a fleet to assist it. However, its firepower is somewhat lacking compared to other large capital ships. (8000P)

The Centurion-class Light Cruiser is small for its purpose as a mid-level combat ship, but is a formidable match to those of the other faction's. It also has a variant armed with railguns instead of plasma cannons, but it is rarely used. It is both well shielded and armed, and is the backbone of the Expeditionary Fleet. (2400P)

The Legionnare-class Destroyer is a small harassment ship designed to get close to enemy ships, then duck out of battle to recharge its shields before charging back in again. It is equipped with both long range and short range weaponry, and is an excellent general-purpose light ship. (1200P)

The Auxilia-class Bomber is an interesting design. Its purpose is to fly around the battlefield, dodge enemy fire, and drop as many space mines as it possibly can, forcing the enemy to hold fast and take the Fleet's firepower, or try and dodge and run into the minefield surrounding it. These ships also make excellent decoys to draw enemy fire, due to their high speed and maneuverability. They are typically used in large swarms in support of larger, more powerful ships. (450P)

If you've made it this far, thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoyed the designs. If you want to play against them, you can find them on the wormhole under JacenHan, though I can't guarantee that it has the latest versions.
