Thanks for your reply bokke1010

However, I continue to receive the same error even after copying and pasting your code directly into what I believe are the appropriate files. Below are the locations of the files I have assumed to be correct (up to this point...)

C:\Users\UserName\Saved Games\Reassembly\Data\Shapes.Lua

C:\Users\UserName\Saved Games\Reassembly\Mods\MyMod\Blocks.Lua

Time and again I've checked and rechecked the code syntax and everything seems to be in order. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and at this point I'm entirely out of ideas on what could possibly be going wrong here. Any further help would be appreciated.

So I started a completely new mod and copy and pasted your code into the Shapes.Lua and the mod Blocks.Lua

Same error. All that's left to do is literally delete everything on my PC that's associated with Reassembly and reinstall from scratch...But I can't imagine wtf could be causing a conflict and by now I'm more than just a little frustrated since everyone else seems to be having an easy time of it.

Might need to ensure there are no spaces between like brackets because that might be causing parsing errors.

I just realized that I never put my shape mod example up... ... =916026798

I've been getting some emails questions about using mirror_of to allow mirroring non-rotationally-symmetric blocks. There is also a launcher_radial keyword which can change the direction of attached missiles/drones/etc. Hopefully this should clear it up.
