I discovered the blast radius from blue faction missiles are pretty extreme, they take out faction 15 very quickly.

I also noticed the AI will use its main guns to try to shoot down drones or missiles instead of letting point defences take care of it. though in this case faction 15 doesn't have any point defenses.

Drones and missiles are good for distractions- AIs tend to ignore you and go after drones or missiles exclusively, allowing you to sit there and proton beam them to death if you so desire.

The torpedo ship!!

It has a tendency to utterly annihilate itself due to explosion chain reactions from a continuous stream of torpedoes.

Most often cause of death: an errant seed.

Also a normal ship you might find in one of the factions.

I present... the Dark Knight Mk. I! (technically Mk III since I've made two earlier versions, but the previous ones were ugly and unwieldy and not very effective)

It gets its name from its sole weaponry- 17 Proton Swords, arranged in a symmetrical pattern around its core. It also has 12 shields. It's relatively small, and with an ~3k energy usage it was built for level 15. Even so, it's very powerful. It features thrusters all around, giving it unparalleled maneuverability which is very important when you have to get up close to kill an enemy. Mere words cannot describe its power. Which is why I recorded a video of it destroying a level 18 Faction 15 ship, the strongest enemy in the game so far. In the video I took 27 seconds from first contact to its death, mostly because the recording software I use makes me lag a lot, and I was unlucky and scraped past it on the first attack. It also has two proton beams fused into it in the video because of a bug I mentioned in the bugs thread.

Aww, did I miss getting my submission in? Well, I'll post it anyways. I present... the Dark Knight, Mk II.

Now built using 4k energy as opposed to 3k, the Mk II relies much more on its armor plating than its shields (though shields are still a decent first line of defense, they are not enough when the railguns start firing and faction 15's lasers start shooting). It also uses nothing but regular boosters, it has quite a few of them. And of course, no knight is complete without his sword! Or 22 swords, in this case.

The way this thing handles is pretty sweet, I should upload a video of it sometime... if only I had an opponent worth fighting...
