Lore:

The Longbow-class regional command vessel is the third-largest warship class in the fleet of the Cayvus Confederacy, after the Falchion-class fleet carriers and the Regent's own flagship. Prohibitively expensive to produce, they are used primarily as flagships for high-ranking admirals presiding over the core systems of the Confederacy, providing a nearly unassailable position from which to command their forces in battle as well as providing more direct support. Heavily armed and armoured in addition to being quick enough to keep pace with the rest of a fleet, a Longbow is a potent combatant capable of decimating entire flotillas of enemy ships by itself thanks to its armament of hundreds of plasma turrets, heavy laser cannons, missile launchers, a spinal particle beam array, and a pair of nuclear missile silos. Commanders in charge of regions closer to the edges of Confederacy space are not afforded with such powerful and expensive command ships except for the rare case of a system facing a particularly large or constant threat, and are typically seen to use a Longsword-class battleship or a Glaive-class battlecarrier instead.

----

My first try at making a ship over 8000P, created for Deluks Gaming's upcoming 60,000 P tournament as part of my Cayvus Confederacy fleet. I tried to make it look nice while keeping it pretty combat-effective. It's fairly agile for something of its size, or at least without making too much in the way of giant thruster stacks, and both the armour and weaponry are quite considerable (as you'd expect considering the scale of the ship). I avoided using the smaller armour pieces as much as possible in the interests of not making it too weak to splash damage, so almost everything on it is made of the 4000 hitpoint armour spikes and squares (~1800 of them). Doesn't fare too well against Tinkrell sniper ships, but does a rather good job of vaporizing just about anything else. Took me around seven hours in total to build.

Armament:

- Plasma Bolt x182
- Annihilator x55
- Flurry Missile Launcher x80
- Gauss Beam x14
- Obliterator x4
- Nuclear Option x2
- Largely made of armour spikes, so anything that crashes into it tends to blow up

File comment: The colours sometimes don't work properly. I don't really know why.

That looks awesome, just wanted to throw that out there. Looking forward to watching this and its escort tear my submission apart, haha.

Thanks. Seeing as Deluks uses bracket format though, chances are you won't have to fight it. I'm probably going to get put up against some efficiency-focused fleet and wiped in a few seconds by twenty million nukes or something, if my luck is as good as it usually is in brackets.

Replace nukes with rockets are you have an idea of what my fleet will look like, have you ever noticed that each rocket launcher has 80 dps?

Yep; rocket launchers are quite good - strong DPS plus relatively large splash damage, and projectiles faster than many cannons. My Terran fleets make pretty heavy use of them on a bunch of their ships. Only reason I don't use even more is in the interests of not setting my poor computer on fire.

I forgot about the bracket thing. Well, maybe we can get a thread going so people can post their fleets after the tournament. I'm sure there will be plenty of matchups people will want to see that they won't have the opportunity to in the tournament.
