Critique my ship

This is my first 8000p warship, I haven't modeled this after any specific other ship design, what are your thoughts?

It can kill most enemies extremely fast and does best at close range.
I keep all weapons except the primary 3 lasers and 2 front cannons set to target the closest enemy.
The ship doesn't seem very hard to control, but I don't have a comparison, as this is my first ship that I made.

Note that there are TONS of other weapons on the ship that aren't firing in the picture, I just had them set to target the nearest enemy instead of free-fire.

Also, yes a tiny ship of mine stole another factions shield brick and kept it with him....he still hasn't lost it...

Cool Ship. If you are looking for possible weaknesses, the armor/shield sections at the very front will shed off when the low health mining lasers they are attached to get killed, and take a long time to regenerate because it will have to rebuild the lasers before rebuilding the hull segments.

I would consider a way to get the mortars you have placed in the middle of your ships closer to the front, maybe swap them with the railguns at the very front. The mortars are very powerful due to their aoe but the range is limited.

Final note, you get 1000 C each time you upload your fleet, noticed you are still on the tutorial to do it. You might not need it anymore, but for new games, upload whenever you come across them.

I would hide your guns inside your armor. Also that ship looks slow, then again I like my dreadnoughts to be as fast or faster than my probes.

1. Plasma mortars have bad effecient.
2. What does teleporter block and how you placed it on ship?
3. What does transformer block?
4. Just place some station shield projectors instead of many shield projectors(sorry for this i forgot what you have P cap)
5. Check you railguns and hulls they have some unsimmetry (it is not disadvantage i just saying)

Thanks for the replies guys

Just note that the guns are placed towards the middle for broadside fighting, so all the guns will be aiming to the side, not directly ahead. I'm working on reinforcing the sides of the ship, adding side mounted lasers, and reinforcing the front hull right now.

For curiosity, I ran it against my capital ships.

I ran it against:

Heavy Sarissa (which is a giant cannon-like ship)

Lance Cruiser (which is a fast cannon-like ship)

Siege Carrier (which is a drone-carrier)

Schlagschwerkreuzer (which is a weird circular onion-like layered dreadnought which relies heavily on missiles)

Grossschlactschiff Zwo (which is a traditional linear dreadnought)

It lost to all but the Lance Cruiser (which was close, but the AI sucks with it). The main vulnerability seemed to be that Beowulf has very little front armor and shielding, so any dreadnoughts it fights just hammer right through and take it out before it has a chance to really harm them.

It also seems to be lacking much point defense weaponry - missile-heavy ships and drone-heavy ships can KO it pretty quickly.

So it doesn't seem too negative, here it is right before it destroyed the Lance Cruiser:
