I'm going to release the alpha in a few hours!

As a reminder, this is an alpha and not the final game. It will crash occasionally, and there are missing features. If you want the full experience, and feel like seeing the game development process too closely will ruin the magic, you should really wait until it's done.

If you are willing to put up with a little instability and interested in helping me out, then keep reading. I am releasing this early version of the game because it's hard to develop games in isolation - I need to know which parts are fun and which parts are frustrating. Your feedback will help shape the final game!

If you are interested in participating, please send me an email at "arthur@anisopteragames.com" with the following information:

Name or username
email address
Why you want to participate in the alpha (this can be very short).

I will compile a mailing list and send out builds later today.

Heh, and now to constantly check my own E-mail throughout the day. While discreetly abusing the new color options.

I have recieved the email, and downloaded it. however your game is corrupted or something.

Am I supposed to extract the stuff? and every time i try to run it, my computer says *we've protected you from something potentially harmful* and when i select run anyway, it fails.

UPDATE! I extracted the files instead of running them, and then ran the file again. I still get the error message, but now I can play the game.

EDIT 2: running as administrator fixes my other problem.

Ummm...Arthur...

What you did is VERY risky, you NEVER just release alphas to public via links in an email.

That allows it to be abused via spreading.

Just a heads up for future errors.

The game still probably been buggy... And it's program signature might not be registered with any anti-virus software yet to classified it's safe. I'm pretty sure it's not a virus.

I forgot to mention that you need to install the microsoft visual studio 2013 redistributable: vcredist_x86.exe. It should be in the main directory.

That's correct. There is a complex process to go through to get certified with microsoft. You should not need to be administrator to run it though, once you get through the UAC message. I'll fix all that stuff by release...
